How this site makes money

Some links on abouthealthclubs.co.uk are affiliate links. If you click one and then join a gym, buy a product or sign up for a service, we may receive a commission from that company. The price you pay is the same as if you had gone to them directly.

We participate in the Amazon Associates programme and in affiliate or referral programmes run by gym chains and sports retailers. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

It doesn’t. Verdicts, rankings and prices are decided before we look at whether a link can be monetised. We recommend clubs and products that have no affiliate programme when they are the right answer, and we say when a cheaper option is better. Where a page contains affiliate links, a notice appears near the top.

In local guides, independent gyms can pay for a listing in a slot marked "Sponsored". Sponsored listings are always labelled, sit apart from the ranked list and never affect a ranking.

We may show display advertising. Advertisers do not see or influence editorial content.
