Dry spa · Comparison
Club spa treatments compared: what is included, what is extra, and where member rates actually bite
Premium chains run their dry spas very differently. Some include a monthly treatment on the top tier, some discount, some simply rent the space to a partner brand. The chain-by-chain picture for the UK and the big European operators.

Three models
Included: the top tier bundles treatments and the club owns the spa (rare in the UK, more common at Aspria). Discounted: the club owns the spa and gives members 10 to 20 percent off (Third Space, David Lloyd). Concession: a partner brand rents the space and members get a small discount if any (Bannatyne with Elemis, many Virgin Active sites). The model tells you how much the club cares about the spa.
Pricing the difference
If you would book a £90 massage monthly, a 20 percent member rate saves £216 a year, enough to justify a £15 to £20 monthly premium over a club without one. If a tier includes a monthly treatment, value it at the list price you would otherwise pay and compare tiers on that basis using our membership cost calculator (not yet available).
Physio is the sleeper
Nuffield Health and Third Space put clinical physiotherapy inside the club. For anyone who trains hard or is over 40, that is worth more than a facial menu and rarely marketed as a spa benefit.
FAQs
Common questions
Which gym includes spa treatments in membership?
In the UK, almost none include treatments outright; the norm is a member discount. Aspria in Europe and Lanserhof at The Arts Club bundle treatments into higher tiers or programmes.
Can non-members book club spa treatments?
Usually yes, at list price, and sometimes with day access to the wet spa. It is a good way to trial a club.
